Gain Clarity To Improve Your Life

Take the time to think about your priorities

What is Mental Clarity?
Mental clarity has to do with a persons' ability to access something accurately and read someone correctly, and without obstruction. Your ability to see things clearly will have a profound impact on how well you’re able to effectively cope and manage the daily obstacles and adversities that will challenge and test your strength and fortitude. Possessing mental clarity, gives you the ability to make choices, avoid problems, and see and experience things that would otherwise go unnoticed. It makes sense that your ability to make good decisions will greatly impact your life. Mental clarity is something that we should all try to develop, maintain, and improve throughout our lives. Since we are imperfect and constantly evolving, we can never achieve total clarity, but there is plenty of space gain more clarity as we mature in age and experiences.

Mental clarity can result from knowledge, intuition, lucidness, clearness, experiences, and the ability to understand a situation clearly. Self-confidence may also play a role achieving mental clarity. The answer, or in this case “clarity”, may come to mind without much thought or effort, or it may require focus and time to analyze, before the person is able to see the reality clearly. Some people are born with the natural gift of mental clarity on a broad amount of subjects, while others need to develop the skill through their experiences over time. Mental clarity has a lot to do with being smart, or at least, being smart when it comes to the particular subject matter.

Achieving mental clarity in a situation doesn’t necessarily mean that the result is correct. It just means that the individual has achieved mental clarity to the best of their ability, and at that particular place and time. In most cases, such as adding one plus one equals two, the clarity will be correct, but in other situations, where the person doesn’t have all the facts, or if their beliefs are skewed, their clarity will be skewed and their result maybe incorrect or incomplete. For example, a person’s level of mental clarity may have to do with their age and type of experiences that they’ve encountered in their life journey. A person who is twenty, may see things differently when they are fifty or eighty. So we can conclude that a persons' clarity is subject to change. We were clear about our opinion years ago, but since then, we’ve learned new facts that have changed our prospective and our opinion, which in turn has changed our mental clarity on that matter.

Mental clarity can be measured by a persons' ability to read things accurately and correctly for a specific situation. Some people are clear minded about one or more things, but not about everything. Maybe they are clear when it comes to dealing with math, but are not so clear when it comes to dealing with social relationships and social situations. Each person is different and everyone is imperfect, so the actual level of mental clarity will vary greatly between people and situations. Each person tries to apply logic, rational thinking, wit, and intuition to analyze something, but the results will always reflect the persons' abilities and capabilities. Being smart is advantageous, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that they possess mental clarity. It’s also important to note that a person can believe that they are clear minded about something, someone, or life itself, but miss critical information. We can conclude that mental clarity is subject to change and interpretation.

How can we achieve mental clarity when we are unsure of what we are doing and the decisions we are making? Low self-esteem and low self-confidence further aggravates the negative problems.

Your objective is to gain an overall state of mental clarity, so that you can make well informed decisions.

What can affect Mental Clarity?
Many factors go into a persons' decision-making process, and their overall ability to think clearly. A person’s current situation plays a big role. Intelligence also plays a big role, but so do other factors, such as good health, rest and sleep, knowledge, and calmness. It is very difficult to think clearly when you are nervous, lack sleep, or are unhealthy. Being in a hostile, unpleasant or stressful situation can definitely make it difficult to think clearly and make good decisions.

It is pretty common for people to be uncertain about things, which contributes towards making poor decisions. The problem is that we have to make decisions every day of our lives. We are faced with making big and small decisions that can have big and small consequences.

Uncertainty tends to create skepticism, doubt and fear. These things lead to an unhealthy state of nervousness, anxiousness, and unhealthy and unpleasant results. At best, uncertainty will create inconsistent results, and that is not the way you want to live your life. Task-confidence and self-confidence also affects their mental clarity.

How to improve Mental Clarity?
It is true that some people are born with a high level of mental clarity, but it is also true that it is a state of mind that can be developed in most people. A person has a better chance of gaining mental clarity when they are well rested, healthy, and at peace. Having the knowledge and the experience will of course provide the information needed to analyze and come up with clear and accurate conclusions. Having accurate conclusions will help you to make good decisions, and that is something everyone wants. We all want the ability to make good decisions and live the best life possible.
